Reducing the range: Again, in my case I had a Windows DHCP Server but the SonicWALL needs to hand out IPs to the OS X Clients. If you're aware of your server/network setup and your OS X devices pull IP Addresses without issue and you're not at risk of having IP Conflicts, then don't worry about it. In my case, I added an Exclusion range to avoid IP Address conflicts.
